On February 22, 2019 in the conference hall of the Uzbek State Research and Design Institute for Land Management “O’ZDAVYERLOYIHA” was held a scientific-practical seminar on “The work carried out within the framework of the international “DSinGIS” project”.
To the seminar more than 20 representatives was attended from state enterprises, like “State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and Land Cadastre”, “Uzbek State Research and Design Institute for Land Management “O’ZDAVYERLOYIHA””, “GEOINFORMKADASTR” State Unitary Enterprise, Cartography State Scientific-Production Enterprise, National Center for Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastres and also 30 participants from the educational sphere, including young researchers. Main aim of seminar was dissemination of information about “DSinGIS” project.
Professor Bela Markus from Obuda University, also participated in the seminar. In his short presentation he introduced aims and objectives of the DSinGIS project.
Ilhom Abdurakhmanov from TIIAME in his speech focused on how the organizational issues are handled in the project. Detailed information was given on the goals and objectives of the project, and how training programs for PhD students are organized, especially for those who were selected during the first and second calls.
Otabek Avezbaev from TIAC informed participants about the new PhD program and its specification, also about learning materials and learning methodologies. He provided information on the equipment that will be acquired during the project for e-learning centers and the Joint Research Center.
Ilkhomjon Abdullaev from NUU provided information about glossary development and paid attention to scientific conferences on the field of Geoinformatics. He invited participants to participate more actively with papers on the next conferences in Samarkand and Tashkent.
In the second part of the seminar PhD students from the Uzbek State Research and Design Institute for Land Management “O’ZDAVYERLOYIHA” presented information about their research topics.
Next Awareness Building Event of the project will be in March, 2019 in Samarkand city, Uzbekistan.
